In response to "filterpatrol's" posts on malpractice, which is getting buried in the other thread...

FILTERPATROL: "And what of the other organizations that have had more than 30 years, and even more millions of dollars during that time?"

Many people here have already agreed that comparing SA's inadequacies to possible inadequacies of other organizations is an invalid argument. SA was supposed to be better than all that came before, and they have certainly had the budget to make great strides in the field, yet they haven’t.

Have there been any other organizations that have had so much money, in such a short time, with the advantage of being able to focus only on the limited goal of providing the best "standby, stabilization and transport" available?

FILTERPATROL: Could it be that the personnel, equipment, and logistical needs of cryonics are more difficult to meet than you think?

Nooooooo...but it could be that SA's failure to establish a qualified standby team in five years and with a ton of money is the result of some extremely poor management and a total lack of focus on their goal.

No doubt this could be a daunting task for people without ties to the medical community, and quite difficult for organizations that are trying to "do it all," such as Alcor and CI. However, it's far from an impossible task. I believe SA's original goal was described as being something akin to an ambulance service, for cryonics storage facilities. If they are unable to do any better than what already exists, why bother?
