PLATT: I did not, and do not, enjoy being in Florida. If the entire
peninsula were swept away by a passing tsunami I would
regard this as a generally positive development, so long as
the staff of Life Extension Foundation were able to relocate
beforehand. The only downside might be a slight increase in
the price of orange juice.

Talk about "emotionally charged!!!"

How does everyone here feel about a man who thinks the only downside of the deaths of 18 million men, women and children, (EXCEPT for the few he financially benefits from), would be an "increase in the price of orange juice"? If that statement doesn't define the definition of an antisocial misanthrope, (Is that redundant?),I don't know what does. I think this statement says a lot about the psyche of Charles Platt.

COMMENT:

Be afraid, gentle readers: he might be serious about the orange juice. And Ms. Maxim might actually be serious, too.
