Conflicts in Cryonics

When I spoke at the Alcor conference, last October, someone in the audience commented on my obvious naivete in regard to the fighting that goes on between the cryonics organizations. Everyone had a good laugh at my response that I obviously hadn't been around long enough to be aware of those activities. Stephen Bridge made comments, in his review of the Alcor conference, (http://www.alcornews.org/weblog/2006/11/conference_review.html), about me not knowing how to handle this tension. To be quite honest, I thought the only tension was my own, about public speaking. I thought I was going to pass out from nervousness!!!
Later, in working at SA, I began to find those previous comments quite humorous, thinking surely there could not be as much tension BETWEEN the organizations as there was WITHIN SA. There were constant battles, usually orchestrated by Charles, between the employees. It didn't take long, though, for the two cryonicists and I to become a united front. Unlike the other employees, we no longer fought against each other, ever. We sometimes had different opinions on certain topics, but we were always able to be respectful to one another and to come to some sort of productive compromise. The other two co-managers continued to war against not only the three of us, but each other, fighting about who made the most money, who put in more hours, and a variety of other topics. In their defense, they were most often "played like a Stradivarius" by Charles, to suit his own needs.
I've digressed. The issue I started out to address here, is the recent posts by Ben Best and Andy Zawacki. I'm totally floored by their posts, today. I would have thought these two people would have discussed this, privately, and made some mutual agreement on a corrective post. Wow, this is rather shocking to me.
Now you two shake hands and make up, before you become another SA.

I guess

I guess that as Ben posted the first message here Andy felt it appropriate to answer in the same place. (I'm also guessing Ben didn't tell Andy about the first post, why should he?)
At least we see both points of view.
Andy will correct me if I'm wrong, meanwhile I rather like this very open forum, I'm getting a lot of information here I couldn't get elsewhere.

Response to Melody

Hello Melody:
Joe Perkins is correct. I posted my response on this forum because this is where the claim originated. Had it been a private message I never would have made a public post. Sorry to have shocked you.
In regard to your statement, "I would have thought these two people would have discussed this, privately, and made some mutual agreement on a corrective post.", I will try this before posting my report on the recent CI/SA case. Maybe we will see a corrective case report for patient 81.
Sincerely,
Andy Zawacki
